About Me
I have been working as a clinical counsellor for one and a half years and I have worked in education for 20 years. I am passionate about helping people discover their inner resources and the confidence to express themselves authentically in all settings. I believe that all human beings crave connection and want to be understood on a deep level but it can be hard to find this in our relationships with others. With Internal Family Systems theory (IFS), we work towards identifying the compassionate energy of the Self, and use it to form relationships with our internal parts that may come into conflict with each other. Examples of these parts are when we criticize ourselves, feel afraid to take risks, self-isolate, disconnect from others, experience pessimism, or engage in risky behaviour..
I welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about IFS to reach out so that we can see if this modality can help you meet your mental health goals.
